Cranes Q2 PAT up 66%

Cranes Software International Ltd., a scientific and engineering software solutions provider, today reported a net profit after tax of Rs 136.6 million for the second quarter ended September 30, 2005, up 66% from Rs. 82.3 million reported for the corresponding quarter last year.
The operating revenues of the company increased 31% to Rs 477.1 million compared to Rs 363.9 million reported during the year-ago period. The earnings per share was up at Rs 13.4 compared to Rs 8.09.
For the half-year ended September 30, the net profit after tax was up by 48% to Rs 266.2 million from Rs 179.3 million reported for the corresponding half last year. The operating revenues for this period was pegged at Rs 948.6 million, up 31% from Rs 724.1 million during the corresponding period the previous year.
During the latest half the EPS was up at Rs 26.19 compared to Rs 17.64.
